Grenada Citizenship by Investment

About Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program

Grenada Citizenship Program was created in 2013 as a measure of economic development. It is currently controlled by the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Committee, which processes the applications for the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Act.

The Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program is one of the few programs —and the first one in the Caribbean Sea— that grants visa-free access to China and working rights in the United States of America. The “Grenada” Citizenship by Investment Program is accurate for individuals and families that want to invest in real estate abroad or make a useful donation to a beautiful nation in the Caribbean Sea. In exchange, they can obtain a second citizenship and a second passport that amplify their international mobility and business opportunities.

Citizenship by investment in Grenada can also introduce foreign investors into the adventurous and culturally rich lifestyle of the Isle of Spice —with minimal requirements— if they choose to live there after all.

Grenada Citizenship Program is available for all foreign investors over 18 years old.

The country is known as the Isle of Spice due to its characteristic native spices, such as nutmeg and mace, which are top export. People of Grenada are friendly, and the capital, St. George's, is a popular tourist destination.

Grenada Citizenship by Investment Options

Option 1: Grenada Citizenship by Donation

You can accede to Grenada citizenship by donation if you submit a contribution of at least US $150,000 to the National Transformation Fund (NTF).

The NFT was created by the government of Grenade in 2013 as a budget plan for different projects in the areas of tourism, agriculture, and green energy.

  • The US $150,000 donation enables only one application under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program. If the applicant wants to include his or her spouse and two children in the application, he or she will be required to make a donation of US $200,000 to the National Transformation Fund instead of US $150,000.
  • Any additional children add US $25,000 to the cost of the required contribution.
  • Dependent parents and grandparents over 55 years old sum US $50,000 to the minimum donation allowed.

Option 2: Grenada Citizenship by Investment in Real Estate

You can purchase real estate under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program to qualify for Grenada citizenship and Grenada passport by investment.

Most of the real estate projects available for purchase under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program focus on the development of the tourism sector, which is the largest source of foreign exchange in Grenada.

This is why most of the government-approved real estate projects are hotels, villas, resorts, etc.

  • The minimum investment in real estate under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program is US $220,000 for each share in the unit (section 11 for shared inversions).
  • For real estate projects outside section 11 (non-shared inversions), the minimum investment under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program is US $350,000.
  • There are no variations in the minimum investment price if the investor applies for this Grenada Citizenship Program alone or if he or she includes his or her family in the application.

  1. This leads to a stage of initial approval that won’t be completed until the government receives the remaining funds. Our advisors will let you know when this happens.
  2. After you make your donation or investment, you obtain a Sale and Purchase Agreement that will put your application in the final steps.
  3. Once you receive your Certificate of Registration (which makes you officially a Grenada citizen), you’re eligible to obtain a Grenada passport.
